Rocco + Hannah . Married A Virginia Beach Oceanfront Wedding

Rocco + Hannah

Rocco and Hannah met working together at the Texas Roadhouse in Virginia Beach.  Jake & I met Hannah at a wedding show last November in Virginia Beach.  She said she just loved our personalities, but I know it was all Jake.  A few weeks after the wedding show Hannah and her best friend, Katie, sat on my couch in our home and then booked us shortly after.  All her wedding desires were so laid back and so fit her personality.  I hadn’t met her fiancé, Rocco at the time, but she described him as easy going and I really couldn’t wait to meet him. Fast forward to a few weeks before their wedding we arranged a special meeting so Jake & I could meet Rocco. He was just as she described him, kind, easy-going and laid back.

I had the opportunity to attend their wedding rehearsal dinner the night before their ceremony.  I always love when I get to attend these because I feel its more of a laid back setting and I have a better opportunity to get to know the family and bridal party.  I loved meeting Rocco’s dad and mom.  Rocco’s dad loved teasing me about how many photos I took of him.  I also loved chatting with Hannah’s mom and dad and hearing about their life and their move to Florida.  Crazy fact that I think all you should know is that both Rocco’s mom and dad and Hannah’s mom and dad both live in Florida about 15 minutes away from each other.  That was unplanned.  When these two started dating and found out they they were shocked.  I mean what is the coincidence?

Hannah and Rocco’s wedding was at the beautiful Hilton Garden Inn at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.  The weather was almost perfect, despite the evening storm that blew through.  I came into the suite where the girls were getting ready and just out the balcony of the room Hannah’s mom and brother worked on the gorgeous wedding arch.  That arch was so stunning. They did such a great job on it!  I got quickly started on the detail photos.  Everything pre-ceremony went so smoothly from the preparation photos to Hannah’s first look with her dad.  She couldn’t hold the tears back.  It was so sweet to watch.  Then, it was ceremony time!  All the guests were arriving and it was time to start.  Hannah came down the aisle choking back tears.  At the end of the aisle she saw her selfless Rocco and all the tears of joy filled her eyes.  Rocco’s dad was also attempting to hold back tears as these two exchanged vows.  I loved the warm feeling both from the beach air and the love of the family and friends that surrounded them.  You knew these two were loved so deeply.

As the reception got started and the father daughter dance began and tears filled Hannah’s eyes again.  You could tell her and her dad had such a special bond.  Actually, Hannah shared such a special bond with each of her family members, you could just see it.  As her sister, Holly, gave her maid of honor speech she also choked back the tears.  Holly did such a good job expressing how special her and Hannah’s bond was.

I loved all of Hannah’s special touches throughout her reception.  She surprised Rocco with a cake that was a kinda “his her” cake.  It was decorated with a beach theme on the front and an Eagles football field on the back. She couldn’t wait to surprise him with it. And instead of a traditional cake cutting they did a smore eating and all the guests got to share in the smores after.  I loved stepping back and watching all the joy of Hannah and Rocco’s family and friends celebrating these two.  Sometimes when I reminisce back to a wedding day I can feel all the joy and love that was shared on the day and I get a sweet smile on my face.  This is one of those times, as I write I can remember the emotions and joy that I got to share and partake in.  It was so perfect and we were so blessed to be able to be a part of such a beautiful wedding.

To Rocco & Hannah-Thank you so much for allowing us to share in your beautiful day.  It was so perfect and it’ll be remembered by us as one of our favorites.  We wish you so much joy and love together as you build your home!  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
