Ashley and Tyler tied the knot on June 6th at the gorgeous Founders Inn in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In the midst of all the coronavirus restrictions their day was absolutely perfect. We loved the intimate feel, the family love and the perfect day June 6th brought. Tyler and Ashley truly went through the ringer to get to their beautiful wedding day. With two rescheduling, weather scares, to a back yard wedding and then back to the original venue. Despite all the back and forth and craziness this day was so beautiful and so perfect. We were so very thankful we got to be a part of their special day.
As Virginia wedding photographers we love making magic for our brides and this day was nothing short of that. It was so magical even with just a handful of guests. Ashley was the most stunning bride with her southern belle flare and her delicate princess features. She surely had my heart swooning. Her smile is infectious and just lights up a room. And Tyler is just as handsome as Ashley is beautiful. These two really make the most gorgeous couple, don’t they?! Their blue eyes are stunning.
When I arrived at Founders Inn that morning I remember walking into the bridal suite. It was just Ashley and her makeup artist. It was so quiet and calm. I joked that this was not a normal bridal suite on a wedding day. Usually there is a lot of hussle, laughter, and people filling bridal suites, but with the coronavirus Ashley had to keep things so intimate. As an introvert myself I so loved the quiet and calm feel Ashley had. Neither Tyler or Ashley had bridal party members. Originally Ashley was going to have her grandma as her flower girl, which I thought was so special, but with everything going on her grandmother couldn’t fly.
Despite the original weather scare of storms, Ashley was able to have their ceremony outside in-front of Founders lake. The sun was nice and warm that day. There was an aisle with seats on both side with just enough chairs for their 18 guests. Ashley had a harp player playing beautiful music as the guests took their seats. It was a perfect touch to set the stone for this wedding.
One of my most favorite parts of Tyler and Ashley’s day was during speeches. The words spoken by both sets of parents and Tyler’s grandfather was so sweet. I remember Tyler’s grandpa saying to him, “you went to Disney World and got yourself a real princess!” I had to hold back tears when he said that. Truly Ashley looked like the most perfect princess. I also loved the first look Tyler and Ashley shared. When a bride and groom chooses to do a first look it is always so intimate and meaningful. I love the tears shared and the words spoken. Lastly, I loved how everyone partied like it was a full size wedding day. They had the best time on the dance floor. I loved that.
To Tyler and Ashley, thank you so much for allowing us to share this day with you both. Thanks for sharing your wonderful family with us. We loved meeting them and talking with them. We loved every minute of this day and we hope you’ll love reliving this day through these photos. We wish you both the very best and hope you’ll stay in touch.
With so much love,
