During the summer the Virginia Beach oceanfront can be a little crowded with so many vacationers.  Labor Day weekend is no exception.  It was the last day of August and the last Saturday before kids go back to school. The sun was nice and hot and the beach was filled with colored umbrellas, kids splashing in the ocean and families enjoying the last fun moments with each other before the Holiday weekend came to an end.  The inside of the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront hotel held the same excitement. It was Carlan and Priscilla’s wedding day and their friends and family were anticipating the celebration with them both.

All of Priscilla’s girls were such a dream.  They were present every single second to cheer her on and serve her as she prepared to be bride that day.  I had so many great moments watching her bridesmaid fill the perfect role for her.  They calmed her and refocused her when she got distracted on the imperfections of the day. They were such a breath of fresh air and a joy to be around.

AND THEN!!! Every single time I passed the groomsmen suite there was music bouncing through the doors.  AND each time I opened the door the guys were dancing machines, not missing a beat.  I am not sure I’ve ever seen a bridal party so ready to celebrate.  They literally danced themselves into the ceremony and out and right into the reception to the end of the night.  This was probably my favorite part of their whole day, watching them dance and party!

Carlan and Priscilla were both a joy to photograph. I loved watching tears stream Carlan’s face as Priscilla took the aisle. Then watching Priscilla respond to her groom with tears flooding her face as she came down the aisle. There weren’t many dry eyes in the room.  Each bridesmaid struggled back tears the entire ceremony.  You knew their love went deep for them both.  I don’t know about you, but these are some of my favorite parts of weddings.  Watching the bride and groom understand the weight of what they have before them and the joy on such a special day.

The Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront was the perfect venue for Priscilla’s classy theme.  Her blush, gold and white colors accompanied with the guy’s black tuxes was gorgeous.  The floral and decorations of the reception were excellent.  Everything was breathtaking and it was such a perfect wedding day in my opinion.  We so loved being a part.

To Carlan & Priscilla!  Thank you for allowing us the joy to celebrate with you both.  It was truly a joy!  I loved hanging with your friends and family and watching you both enjoy all the moments of your day, just the way you should.  Wishing you both so much love and happiness and such a long life together.  So many congratulations!!!
