89th Street Virginia Beach Engagement Session John + Leah Engaged
New Engagement Spot
It’s been a while since I’ve tried a new (to me) spot in Virginia Beach. When John and Leah gave me a little freedom to do so, I was so excited. I’ve been hoping to check out 89th street in Virginia Beach and thought how perfect an 89th street Virginia Beach engagement session would be. The spot was quiet and intimate, and I loved the change of pace from the highly desired First Landing. It felt like we were all to ourselves, and I loved how this session felt so perfect.
John & Leah
It’s so important that we are a good fit for our clients because we spend most of the day with them on their wedding day. We love fun and joyful people, and John and Leah fit this description because they were so much fun. Actually, within the first moments of their session, John was already joking with me. I loved this because it helped me relax and loosen up a little. Yes, it takes me a few moments to feel new clients out too.
When John and Leah arrived, Leah shared with me how she was having a crappy day and had a glass of wine before. As she was telling me this, I had it in my heart to make sure their session was fun and changed the pace of her day. We were all laughing and teasing by the end. Most of the time, guys are a little quieter, but I loved how John was fun and laid back.
A Little Challenging
This 89th street Virginia Beach engagement session was a little challenging for me because it was a new spot, and there weren’t a lot of trees to block the rays of the sun during the earlier part of the session, so I had to get creative. Overall, I loved this location and all the magic we were able to capture, especially those sailboat photos towards the end.
Sailboats
Speaking of the sailboat photos, John and Leah shared with me a cool trip they are taking in March. They are going on a sailboat for over a week in the Bahamas, bouncing around the island. I thought it was perfect that I included that sailboat, especially since I didn’t know they had a love for sailboats.
Thank You
John and Leah, thank you for making this session so fun for me. It is always good to laugh, and I enjoyed laughing and having fun with you guys. I hope all your current ventures go smoothly, and Jake and I cannot wait to see you guys in May. Happy engagement. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do!
With love,
Jake & Jennifer
