Ton + Alvie . Engaged!

Not many couples know exactly what they want when they approach me about their engagement session, but Ton & Alive did!  And I loved that about them!  They knew the exact location and the exact outfits they wanted and they did a perfect job coordinating it all.  I am not going to lie when I approach every session I get a little nervous with meeting new people and working with them. Every couple is different, each come with their own expectations and some have never been behind a camera before, so I do a few things that help ease any insecurities on both parts and within 15 minutes the un-sureties usually cease and I really feel like my clients and I begin to work together well.  Ton was probably the shyest guy I have ever worked with, BUT he did an amazing job! You can see it in the photos below.  I am super proud of him.

Ton proposed to Alive in the Penthouse suite at the Westin hotel where they will be getting married in October 2017.  I got to see the amazing proposal video the day they met with me for their consultation.  It was gorgeous…candles, roses, romance…so very perfect! Every girls dream! Ton proposed on their 9 year anniversary and it’ll be their 10 year anniversary when they get married. Ton is a rad tech and Alvie a nurse.  They both love eating and working out and more eating!!!  Let’s be honest we all love to eat, right?!  Ton and Alvie chose Downtown Norfolk for their engagement photos because they love the city vibe.  They actually wished they could get married in Downtown Norfolk, but it didn’t work out.  It was a very overcast day and the rain decided to visit us, but that didn’t stop us from using every last minute of light!  It was fun!

Alvie texted me this afternoon a photo of them in a city (I am not sure which one) practicing their kissing!   It was so sweet! They are super excited for their big day in October and so are we!

To Ton & Alvie I had a wonderful time running from the rain clouds with you and teasing and laughing! I had fun watching you guys dance in the streets and play in the leaves.  I hope these photos remind you of your love for each other and are everything you hoped they would be as you envisioned your engagement session.
