These two!!!! Have I told you how much I love these two!!!! <3 I think I was on my way to photograph another wedding when I pulled over in a Newport News parking lot to take Kendall’s over the phone consultation call. This girl is seriously a kindred spirit and we totally hit it off and chatted and chatted. Just to be sure we were a good fit these two asked to meet us in Yorktown for a double date, which honestly I could not have loved that idea any better. So we met them at a yummy restaurant at the Yorktown beach and I was so excited because I finally had the opportunity to show Jake the amazing Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shop right across the street!!! Who loves ice cream??? ME!!!!
At our dinner Jake & Tacuma immediately formed what the four of us refer to as a bromance! I mean I get it…my husband is pretty sweet. That is why I married him. These guys actually drove down from Richmond on a Saturday in October just to spend the afternoon and evening with us. How cool is that! We truly love when our clients also love connection and being friends.
Just a couple weeks ago Jake & I drove up to Richmond to photograph Tacuma and Kendall’s engagement. Kendall had the coolest vision of including a house portion to their session. I thought the idea of it was amazing and the natural light in the house was so beautiful. She thought it would totally depict their personalities. Relaxed and fun! <3 Then we headed over to the gorgeous river that I have been dying to take pictures at for like…forever!!! Thank you guys so much for allowing me to do this and for scoping it out beforehand. You both rock!!! Sadly, the river was so full with all the rain we have been getting and the awesome rocks that you can walk out on were all underwater, but thankfully we made it work on the shoreline and got some pretty amazing shots in my opinion!
And guess what guys, the coolest Kendall just started her own event planning business which is called Mahogany Hill Weddings, so if you are in the market for an event planner for your wedding definitely check her out!!! She is so organized and super stellar all around. I just love having deeper chats with her about life, friendships and all the things!!!
To our favorite Tacuma and Kendall eva!!! Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your journey in life. We are truly thankful our paths have crossed and we get to celebrate all the good things and we get to hang out in the process. We love you both and cannot wait till your rocking wedding!
