Ray + Alycia . Married 12.31.16

Monday I took my car in for regular service.  When I checked out the cashier clerk asked how my New Year’s Eve was and I shared with her the amazing opportunity we had to celebrate with this couple, Ray & Alycia.  She began to share with me that her grandmother instilled into her that whatever you are doing as the New Year’s comes in speaks of what the year will be become.  She shared that she cleans every year to set stage for a year that everything is in order.  Well, I can’t say I believe in all myths, but I sure will take this one!  A year of great wedding prosperity…since we were photographing a wedding into the New Year! Yes, for sure!

It really was an honor to spend New Year’s with these two and their family and friends.  Alycia’s girls were amazing…I have never seen bridesmaid so excited about the bride getting married….NEVER!!!! They really ooohhhhed and awwwed over her and even fought at who was going to do what.  It was precious, even if Alycia was a little overwhelmed with it! 😉

Ray and Jake hit it off immediately.  Jake has even named Ray as his “wing man!” Because Ray made a point to get Jake 2 dozen wings (give or take) before we left.  Ray was so laid back and easy going.  One of the many great qualities Alycia loves him for.  We really felt like family with these two.  Actually, Ray pulled Jake and I aside at the end and shared how we felt like just that; family! That we didn’t feel like a business transaction, but friends!  He couldn’t stop thanking us.

To Ray & Alycia, thank you, thank you, thank you for entrusting such a special moment to us.  We are forever grateful to have celebrated with you guys and even to worship with you both.  The presence of the Lord was definitely beautiful during your ceremony.  We pray your future is nothing short of what you dream it to be.  We pray God will use you in such a mighty way! xoxo
