Matt & Ashley are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I don’t think there is a mean bone in their bodies, if there is they would totally have me shocked. When Ashley smiles her whole face lights up from ear to ear, so you know I basically fell in love with her the moment I met her via FaceTime. That is how our journey together started…FaceTime!! It is so funny to think of that now because about a year ago, I would have done everything in my power to not meet people via FaceTime. I steered clear of that type of meeting. I prefer face to face meetings with people, but more and more I am rocking this FaceTime thing. I guess practice makes perfect…or in my case…me more comfortable.
We loved being a part of Matt & Ashley’s big day because of their sweetness and because their venue just so happens to be our long time vendor friends new wedding venue in the Outer Banks. So this wedding was an extra special treat for us because we not only got to see Jason & Courtney Marshall, but we got to see their beautiful venue, Vista Creek. The place was so stunning and the story how they got it was amazing. We got there a little extra early just so we could catch up with them.
The weather was so perfect. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the breeze was so refreshing. Everything about Matt & Ashley’s wedding was perfect. I cannot think of anything that went wrong. Everyone was so happy. Dream wedding really.
I think one of my favorite memories of their day was watching Matt’s eyes filled with tears as Ashley walked down the aisle. That was the sweetest!!! And when Ashley did her “daddy daughter” first look watching the tears of joy that filled her eyes when her dad saw her for the first time. Those moments were so priceless.
I really enjoyed hanging out with Matt & Ashley’s bridal party too. We teased and cracked up together and they gave me a hard time for being too bossy, which is always true!!! Haha!
To Matt and Ashley, thank you so much for having the most perfect wedding!!! Haha! I always say the bride sets the tone for how a wedding day will be and your joyful peaceful nature set a wonderful tone for your day. We wish you and Matt such a wonderful future together!!! 😉 Thank you so much for allowing us to photograph this awesome day!!! <3
