It was our very first time at the gorgeous Apple Blossom Plantation in Pigeon Forge, Virginia. Normally, my amazing husband accompanies me for all our weddings, but this Saturday he graciously bowed out for personal reasons. I sure did miss him, but had a wonderful time with a first time (for us) second shooter, Kelly McMillan. Funny thing…we did her and her husband’s wedding a few years ago and they are now expecting their first babe! 🙂 We could not be anymore happier for them.
The minute we turned right onto the Apple Blossom Plantation we were in awe of the venue’s beauty. A long gravel driveway led to a beautiful white house. Trees lined each side of the gravel driveway all the way up to the house. The venue was perfect. We got out and toured the location. Everyone was busy running around getting everything prepared for the big wedding. We made our way to the bridal suite where I beheld the most gorgeous bride, Katelyn. Absolutely stunning. Her look could not have fit this location anymore perfectly. We grabbed all the details and got to work. Peggy the owner of the Apple Blossom was busy running around making sure everything was perfect. Just before 5pm the guests began arriving and finding their seats just in front of the building. Katelyn was not only stunning, she was the absolute sweetest bride ever. Just went with the flow, so calm and the kindest demeanor. Jonathan was fun, had such a great smile and her very perfect match.
The ceremony was perfect. The weather was perfect. I would not change a thing. After the guests headed to the cocktail hour, we had fun taking bridal party photos and Jonathan and Katelyn’s bride groom photos. Then headed to the reception. Jonathan and Katelyn’s family and friends were so fun. Katelyn’s mom had the best time on the dance floor and I so enjoyed watching her. I love the reception. Why? Because it’s when I see most brides and grooms just let down and relax and enjoy the evening. I love sitting back and just watching all the people have fun together. These two did just that.
To Jonathan & Katelyn, thank you so incredibly much for allowing me to be a part of your day. It truly was a joy and I am so thankful we got to be a part of such a big life-long memory. We wish you two such a happy life together. A life fully of joy, love and so much happiness. So many blessings, you two! Hope you enjoy some of my very favorite photos from your day.
