We met Chuck & Nina through her good friend, Susan! We photographed Susan’s wedding a few years ago. They are best friends. So when Nina asked us to do her wedding I screamed yes, yes, yes on the inside. I think gorgeous girls stick together because both Nina and Susan are both so stunning.
Chuck & Nina’s late December wedding did not feel like Christmas had just passed. It was actually pretty warm for December. But, don’t you worry there were no complaints from me about that. We were able to do all the photos outside. Nina got ready at a beautiful Inn located in Yorktown, VA and Chuck got ready just down the street at another beautiful historical house. The ceremony was held at and the reception at the Yorktown Freight Shed that sits right on the beautiful James River in Yorktown, VA.
It was such a joy to watch Pilar, Nina’s younger sister, serve her sister so well. She was always there to help me or Nina with anything.
One of my most favorite moments of the day was watching Chuck as his bride came through the church doors. His eyes were full of tears. I also loved watching Nina’s dance with her dad. Her eyes and face were full of so many tears. There are photos below to prove it. I loved the way Stephan, Nina’s dad, loved on her during the dance. And lastly, another great memory from Chuck and Nina’s day was during the reception. Nina danced with her and Chuck’s son. As a mom of a son, I could only imagine one day it’ll be his wedding day and she’ll get to share another dance with him. My heart melted.
We loved everything about this wedding. The tight family and friends feel, the joy everyone shared with Chuck and Nina, the fun we watched everyone have, the welcome from mom and dad and just the celebration altogether.
To Chuck and Nina, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of this beautiful day. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate along-side of you. It was such a joy. Wishing you so much love and happiness. See you guys in November! <3
