Woman’s Club of Portsmouth Virginia Wedding Wade + Jocelyn Wade + Jocelyn
This Woman’s Club of Portsmouth wedding was so much fun! This gorgeous venue is located in the heart of Portsmouth, Virginia.
A Bride with Little Sleep
Jocelyn, running off two hours of sleep, described her excitement for her wedding day like a little girl opening presents on Christmas morning. Almost every little girl dreams about getting married one day. Getting dressed in a beautiful dress, with flowers and being the center of attention like a princess. I see it over and over again little flower girls ahhhing over the bride as if she were a real life princess. But I guess she really is a princess…at least for the day!
Fairy Tale Wedding Day
Wade and Jocelyn chose to have their fairytale day at the gorgeous Woman’s Club of Portsmouth which sits right in the center of a neighborhood in Portsmouth. This beautiful venue was the perfect location for their wedding. Jocelyn choose soft colored flowers and Wade wore a soft gray suit which complemented each other and the venue so well.
Their day was absolutely perfect. The weather turned out beautiful despite all the rain we had the two days before. The rain finally stopped just a couple hours before their wedding. They say rain on a wedding is actually good luck. It rained on mine and Jake’s wedding morning and stopped just in time for the ceremony too. He always reminds me how it was good luck. The most important thing about Wade and Jocelyn’s wedding day was the love they share. You can really see it in their eyes when they look at one another. Jocelyn is the kindest and so is Wade.
Landon
I loved how Landon, Wade and Jocelyn’s son was there. I remember him being at their engagement session last fall. He was a lot smaller and just as adorable. It was really a joy to be able to see him. Little boys definitely melt my heart. We got to capture some really special moments with Landon and Jocelyn during her pre-ceremony photos. As I was photographing these special moments I felt tears start to fill my eyes. There is something about mommy’s and their son’s that just move me. Maybe I picture me and my son. I hope one day Landon will cherish those specific photos with his mom.
To Wade and Jocelyn your wedding was so beautiful and Jake and I are so grateful we got to be a part of your day. There were so many special moments that filled your day. As Virginia Wedding Photographers, we know weddings fly by so fast, so we hope that these photos will help you relive your day for so many years to come. What a joy and honor it was to celebrate with you both. With so much love!
