EEEEEEEEKKKKK!!!! When this summer Founders Inn Wedding in Virginia Beach, Virginia becomes a destination wedding for a military pilot, Joe, & speech therapist, Megan, you get a little giddy! Joe, Megan, and their entire family and friends traveled from all over to celebrate their wedding in a central place, which just so happened to be our town.

The Rain & Humidity

The day of Joe and Megan’s wedding started perfectly, but by mid-afternoon, the clouds began rolling in. Then the rain started. I quickly checked the rain radar to see how the rest of the evening would pan out. Joe and Megan were having their entire wedding outside. The rain was supposed to come and go throughout the remainder of the afternoon but stop early evening. When I got there, I overheard Megan talking with her super helper, Hannah joking about how Joe was a risk-taker and would want to wait till the last second to bring the wedding inside. He sure did! I know Megan was so happy she decided to go along with the risk because her day turned out perfect we just had to dodge the rain and endure the 90% humidity that day. Whew! Bring on the ice-cold water!

Perfect Bridesmaids

Now that I’ve talked about the weather and the adventure it took us on during Joe and Megan’s wedding day. I want to talk about Megan’s incredible bridal party. Kayla and Mallory. These two girls were phenomenal bridesmaids. They were fun to work with and were helpful at every single step of the day. I mentioned to Megan how wonderful they were and, she said, “I decided to go with quality over quantity!” Yas! Choosing quality bridesmaids for your wedding day matters so much. Should I say that again?

Hannah!!!!

Then, y’all, there was Hannah! Hannah was incredible. She helped coordinate the wedding, and she doesn’t even do it as a business, BUT SHE SHOULD! She served Joe and Megan and made sure every piece of their day was perfect and flowed well. Jake and I were amazed at her quality. When I talked to her about how amazing she was, she said, “I want these two to have the best!” She was a key part of making sure they did.

Jake and I always love spending a day or two of our summer photographing weddings at the Founders Inn in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We love the venue so much.
