Kitty Hawk Pier Wedding

It was our first time photographing a Kitty Hawk Pier Wedding in the Outer Banks. John & Leah currently live near Atlanta, GA. They were living in Virginia Beach when Jake & I first met them. Right after their engagement session, they moved to Atlanta and according to them, they are loving it! These two love the Outer Banks, which is how they fell in love with the gorgeous Kitty Hawk Pier.

Sailboat Love

John & Leah love the water. Just a couple of months ago they went to the Bahamas & did a sailboat tour in the beautiful blue waters there. While we were photographing their engagement session in Virginia Beach we stumbled upon a sailboat sitting in the dunes. It became a perfect spot for a few last photos of the two of them. They were my favorite engagement photos of their entire session.

Incredible Tribe

These two have an incredible tribe around them. Their wedding day was full of so much laughter, joy, and just perfect fun. Brianna, Leah’s, Matron of Honor was the best Matron of Honor we’ve ever come across in our 8 years of photographing weddings. She is a photographer in Florida & it was so easy to talk to her. Brianna was ready to help at every single step of the day. She helped hold the dress, came with me to make sure the spot for Leah & John’s first look wouldn’t be too windy for Leah’s hair. Bri was just perfect. I am gonna get her to write a note to the future maid & matron of honors of our brides.

Favorite Part

I always love sharing my favorite parts of weddings. Hands down, the reception was the best part of this wedding!!! John & Leah’s tribe was so fun! They knew how to celebrate, let their hair down & dance the night away. It brings me some of the greatest joy watching people celebrate the way this family did.

Both John & Leah are such sweet people. They both are so easy to know & relax around. Jake & I were so honored to be a part of their day! It was fun celebrating with them. The memories of their Kitty Hawk Pier Wedding will forever be etched in our minds. We are grateful!
