When clients become family.  Truly it was such an honor to be able to take these maternity photos for Josh and Kaitlyn.  It’s not often that we get the privilege of becoming close friends (basically family) with our wedding clients.  Although that is always our hopes and most become some sort of friend its rare to be able to get to do life along-side couples like we have with Josh and Kaitlyn.

Jake and I had the privilege of photographing Josh and Kaitlyn’s wedding several years ago.  Then we started our Marriage Enrichment group.  These two were some of the first people who joined and they have faithfully been attending for years.  Actually, when we go on little breaks they are the first two asking when we are going to get back together.  We watched them desire and hope for this moment for a long time.  And anyone who knows Kaitlyn knows she is going to be one of the best mothers.  I’ve watched her with her nieces, nephews, god-babies, and my own children.  Nothing lights her up more than children.  Actually, we love them so much that Jake asked these two to be one of our youngest, Justice’s, godmommas, which seemed fitting because she threw her such an incredible baby shower.  She didn’t know then that Jake had been really contemplating making her one.

Kaitlyn is truly a gem.  She is strong, a leader, so tender-hearted, nurturing and sweet.

And Josh is like the biggest teddy bear.  I have such a soft place in my heart for him for so many reasons.  Actually, whenever I get to see him my heart just lights up.  Even though he is quiet and more reserved.  I think that is probably why my heart is soft toward him because I understand him on so many levels.  He is a deep thinker, thoughtful, so willing to grow and an incredible business owner.

This session was actually a gift to them because I love them so much.  It was such a joy to be able to do these for them.  Jake and I cannot wait to watch these two flourish as parents, but most of all we cannot wait to meet baby Childs and watch him grow.  Truly excited.

To Josh and Kaitlyn, we love you both so very much.  Thank you for loving us well.  We are so glad we get to know you both and have you in our lives and we cannot wait to welcome with open arms little baby Childs.  So soon!
