Darren + Imani . Married A Savage Mill Wedding
Imani probably has one of the most gorgeous smiles ever! Seriously! Her smile easily lit up the room and the camera. We left warm Virginia Beach on a Sunday and headed up to the Baltimore, Maryland area where Darren and Imani were getting ready for their wedding day. These two have the coolest story! It reminds me a little bit of the “Love and Basketball” story without the basketball. Darren and Imani grew up on the same court, Pope Court. They were once childhood friends and now forever sweethearts. The only thing that could make their love story any sweeter is if they bought a house on the same court they grew up on and raised their children there! 🙂
We met Darren at his good friend, Ray’s, wedding this past December 31st. Him and Jake hit it off. Darren was so much fun to watch with the gopro that we gave him to record the behind the scenes of the wedding with. He was having the time of his life with it. 🙂 After Ray and Alycia’s wedding, Darren asked Jake and I to photograph their wedding. We were happy to be a part of such a cool guy’s wedding. 🙂 Darren & Imani’s families were both so excited for them. I am not sure I have ever seen a family with so many phones out for photos during a wedding or reception….there were even more paparazzi’s than most Asian wedding. Haha! All our Asian friends will get that joke! It was so awesome to see their excitement as they celebrated with these two on their wedding day.
The Historic Savage Mills was a gorgeous venue with old railroads and old bridges which you can see later in the photos and the Great Room was a perfect location for a beautiful wedding.
Wishing this beautiful couple an amazing future together. We were so honored to be a part of your wedding day story! Thank you! Blessings, blessings, blessings to your future together! x0x0
