Coquina Beach North Carolina Engagement Shane + Arlena

This Coquina Beach, North Carolina Engagement was an adventure. There were so many cool things that happened.

First, our son, Jenson, joined me as an assistant for this engagement session. He did the best job helping out. Anytime, Shane needed water he was right there. He helped hand me my white balance reader, & he had such a helpful attitude the whole. I loved getting to drive down to Coquina Beach with him. We talked, laughed & had the best time.

Second, I got to meet Shane & Arlena for the first time. Whew! These two are sweet. Jenson kept talking about how “kind” Arlena was on the drive home & then he told Juliet, his sister that she was so nice. This is so true. Her voice alone is so Southern & the sweetest.

Arlena had this gorgeous hunter green dress on. The wind was crazy at their session, which made the perfect blow effect on her dress. Jenson got so excited telling his sister about her dress. He said, “it was like she was the master of the wind!”

The last crazy thing that happened was a storm. Sadly, it cut our session much shorter than I’d like. Midway through a storm developed & started spitting side rain. Thankfully, I was working faster than normal & got enough for them to be so happy with. I am thankful for that. Whew!

It was such a joy to photograph their Coquina Beach, North Carolina Engagement. Jake & I cannot wait for the wedding next July at the gorgeous Vista Creek in Manteo, North Carolina.

To Shane & Arlena, thank you both for being open to allowing my son to be there. He loved it. We loved you both. We hope you’ll enjoy some of our favorites.
