A Christmas Wedding

This Christmas Founders Inn Virginia Wedding was breathtaking. Makis & Catherine put together a beautiful wintery wedding. She even brought in the snow. Check out the photos at the end to see.

The Founders Inn gardens & venue was a gorgeous spot to give you the Christmas Hallmark feel wedding. I loved how there were little trinkets of Christmas threaded through the details of the day. From the Christmas trees & decorations throughout the venue to the perfectly placed Nutcrackers at the reception & the Christmas ornaments as wedding keepsakes. Catherine brought her magical fairytale wedding to life so perfectly. The warm feeling of Christmas was vibrant throughout the day. I mean who gets married in front of a gigantic perfectly decorated Christmas tree?

Catherine’s Dress

Speaking of gorgeous Christmas. Catherine picked out the most perfect wintery wedding dress. In the evening she wore a beautiful cape. It made the mood even more magical.

Family + Friends

Family & friends came from near & far to celebrate this beautiful couple. The warm family feel was so present. Some of Makis family came in from Greece. That was a neat surprise. I also loved meeting Catherine’s grandmother who just turned 93. It was truly special being able to witness her there. She looked so great & was the sweetest.

Catherine AKA “Peanut”

You could really tell Catherine’s mom & dad love her dearly. I loved hearing her dad’s speech about her at the reception. It was neat hearing the story of how she got the nickname “Peanut.” I must have missed that important thing at their engagement session. But if you see the photo of them standing in front of Mr. Peanut it’s because Catherine’s nickname from a little girl has been, “Peanut.” When I called her Catherine I got weird looks because it seems that most people know her as “Peanut!”

The Snow Machine

Jake had the best time using the snow machine at the end. He went a little crazy some of the time. I am so glad we get to have fun doing our job! Makes being away from our sweet kids all the more ok!
