Chris + Luisa . Engaged! A First Landing State Park Engagement

My mind goes back to the first time I ever spoke with Luisa on the phone.  We talked for what seemed like an hour.  I am a horrible phone talker…I am awkward, I often talk way too fast, interrupt out of nervousness and well I just don’t like to do it.  Luisa made me feel so comfortable as we teased together about my awkwardness.  She even admitted that she was a little awkward.  I am not sure if she was just trying to make me feel a little better or if that is true, but it sure made me adore her! I still find it amazing that people book me after just a phone call, but hey I guess a little awkwardness makes me relatable! 🙂 I definitely thrive in person, but hand me a phone and I am a nervous wreck!

And if I ever loved spending time with any couple, it was this one!  Chris and Luisa were such a pleasure to photograph; genuinely.  I loved the way they interacted with each other from the way Chris could make her laugh or the way Luisa smiled up at Chris.   And their personalities really shined through during the session.  I teased with them that they should be model couples for other couples on how to be authentically in love….if you could teach such a thing, they would be the best teachers!  They were not stiff….each laugh and smile Luisa gave was authentic! That is how it should be!  Chris brought that laugh out of her each time ….maybe by whispering something into her ear or telling a silly joke.  It was beyond perfect.  I really shouldn’t even say this, but this is probably my most favorite engagement session I’ve ever shot.  Their style, relaxed state, and the chemistry they share are all just some of the reasons why.  As I watched Luisa light up through the eye piece of the camera my heart literally leaped with joy!  I felt like I was viewing a beautifully written love story through my camera!  I had a blast with them.  I invited them to my house for more photos just so I could spend more time with them…well sorta! 🙂  Chris has such relaxed personality which made it a breeze to photograph him.  I cannot wait to photograph their wedding next year!  So many congratulations to this VERY sweet and beautiful couple! xoxo
