Dream Couples

This William & Mary winter engagement session was a dream to photograph. Some couples are just a joy to shoot. When the love is evident, and the smiles and jokes flow freely between them, it’s hard not to have fun. This was what it was like to photograph Paul & Sami. I almost forgot how cold it was that day because of how much fun we had.

Made For Each Other

These two were made for each other. There is no doubt in my mind about that. I am not sure if it was the way Paul’s eyes lit up with joy and wonder when looking at Sami or if it was the constant and easy laughter Paul brought to Sami. It even could have been the warmth and deeply cultivated friendship these two have. After spending just a moment with them, I could see it as clear as day, these two were made to be together. I wish more couples shared the same kind of love these two have for each other.

The best way to describe Paul would be a big kid, who is full of humor, easy to know, and loves life. Within moments of meeting him, he already had me laughing. Then there is Sami. She is stunning, kind, thoughtful, and knows what she wants.

Their Session

These two met at William and Mary, which is why they chose the location for their winter engagement session. Their chemistry made it easy to coach them in posing. Or it could have been Sami’s wedding Tiktok life too. We tried something newer to me during their session. It was called the drunk walk. These two nailed it so well. They turned out to be some of my favorite photos because of the authentic smiles that came from the photos.

After meeting these two, I am truly looking forward to meeting their family. I loved hearing about Sami’s dad, her sister who just got married in Mexico as the quarantine started, and Paul’s family who just had a baby. You could tell their family is so important to them. It’ll be fun putting a face to some of the people I heard about.
