The Cove Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer Scott + Annabelle

As a The Cove Virginia Beach wedding photographer, Scott and Annabelle’s wedding was one of those days that felt deeply meaningful from beginning to end.
As a The Cove Virginia Beach wedding photographer, I get to witness a lot of love stories—but this one felt especially close, especially intentional, and truly an honor to be part of.
A Coastal Wedding Rooted in Love and Family
From the very beginning, you could feel it—this wasn’t just a beautiful day, it was a deeply loved day.
Annabelle carried something incredibly special with her down the aisle… a piece of her mom and dad tucked into her bouquet. It was quiet, meaningful, and you could feel the weight of love and legacy surrounding her. Moments like that don’t just photograph beautifully—they stay with you.
The entire day reflected that same heart. Family and friends weren’t just present… they were woven into every part of the celebration.
A Wedding Inspired by Music & Meaningful Details
Scott and Annabelle share a love for music and concerts, and they brought that theme to life in such a creative and personal way.
Each guest’s place setting included a beautifully spray-painted record to take home—such a unique and thoughtful touch. Their welcome sign was designed like a concert event layout, tying everything together in a way that felt fun, memorable, and completely them.
Their color palette of sage green, white, and gold added a timeless, elegant feel that complemented the coastal setting perfectly.
And instead of a traditional large cake, they chose a small cake for themselves and cupcakes for guests—a simple but joyful way to celebrate together.
A Day Full of Intentional Moments
One of the most special parts of the day was how intentional they were with their time. The day was filled with such intentional and meaningful moments. A live musician during cocktail hour created a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere, setting the tone for the evening. Throughout the reception, a few heartfelt speeches beautifully reflected Scott and Annabelle’s story, while a photo video slideshow invited everyone to step into their journey in a deeper way. The entire reception was centered around joy, connection, and—of course—their shared love for music. Earlier in the day, Annabelle also chose to do a first look with her bridesmaids, which turned into such a sweet and emotional moment before the ceremony even began.
The People Who Stood Beside Them
Their bridal party was such a strong reflection of their lives and relationships:
Maid of Honor: Summer Whitley
Bridesmaids: Megan Poole, Elizabeth Perrella, Jessica Donahue, Sarah Rister
Best Man: Jeffery Bradley
Groomsmen: Harrison Poole, Andrew Poole, Brian Hamele, Nigel McKenley
Flower Girl & Ring Bearer: Evie & Grayson Poole
These are the kinds of people who don’t just stand beside you… they carry the day with you.
A Personal Moment I’ll Never Forget
Toward the end of the night, something extra special happened for me personally…
I had my son there as he’s beginning to learn and step into photography—specifically helping on the dance floor. Getting to share that moment, in the middle of such a joy-filled celebration, was something I’ll never forget.
Weddings like this don’t feel like work.
They feel like being invited into something sacred, something joyful, something lasting.
