This Vista Creek Nags Head wedding was a beautifully “hot” one. It was fun to be back at Vista Creek again a couple of weeks later. Austin & Katie were such a perfect bride & groom. The day was so laid back & easy going.
The Wedding Day
The morning pre-ceremony went so smoothly. Jake met the guys at a friend’s beach house not too far from the venue & I got to work on details when I arrived at the Vista. All the details fell in place so smoothly. Just after finishing up on the details, we did Katie’s getting dressed photos. I loved working with her small & intimate bridal party. The girls were so sweet. We had a lot of laughs. Everything was so calm & breezy.
It was cool meeting & getting to work with Grayson & Brian with Grayson Media. Grayson has the spunkiest personality. I loved creating some really cool drone images with her. Jake & I hope to work with them again sometime in the future.
The ceremony was a hot one. Whew! Austin & Katie opted for an outside full ceremony that overlooked the Manteo marsh. Thankfully, there was fans for all the guests. Despite the scorching heat the ceremony was gorgeous & went perfectly. I even loved the “flower guy” they had. I think this is becoming a cool thing when the groom’s friend wears a fanny pack full of flower petals. It was a hoot.
I always love sharing my favorite part of a wedding day. For this day, my favorite part is a little untraditional to what I usually choose. It was the reception entrance. This bridal party was so creative! They came up with some super fun ways of coming in. I also loved the best man, Hal’s, speech. He had the whole room laughing.
Jake & I loved being a part of this Vista Creek Nags Head wedding. It was so refreshing & smooth. Of course, they did have the best wedding coordinator there is, Courtney Marshall.
