Virginia Beach Oceanfront Wedding

The Virginia Beach Oceanfront is such a beautiful spot for weddings. Troy & Courtney flew in from Colorado Springs for a destination wedding in our hometown at the Four Points by Sheraton. It’s funny thinking something you see every day would be someone’s destination choice for their wedding. Courtney’s uncle lives local & they often visit here in Virginia Beach for the summer, which is how they stumbled upon Virginia Beach.

Troy + Courtney

These two are dream couples & clients. Both are incredibly sweet & fun. I photographed their engagement session just a few days before their wedding & that was the first time I got to meet them. I loved Troy’s playful personality & Courtney’s sweetheart. They are both beautiful inside & out. Courtney’s sister, Cynthia, called them “Barbie & Ken.” I can so see this about them. They look just like Barbie & Ken.

Courtney’s Personality

One thing I loved about Courtney was her easygoing, ready-to-do, what was needed personality. We’ve never had a bride that wanted to trash the dress in the ocean. Living in Virginia Beach, you’d think more people would do this, but it hasn’t been the case. She was willing to get in the water during her engagement session & her wedding. On her wedding day it was pitch black on the Virginia Beach oceanfront, and they both ran right in. Then her bridal party followed. It was so much fun being a part of that.

A Perfect Day 

Their entire day was so beautiful. Other than the heat it was a perfect day in my opinion. Jake & I loved being apart. Her family, friends & vendors were all so wonderful to work with. It was a dream wedding for sure.

To Troy & Courtney, thank you for making our job so easy & fun. You both were true dream clients. We wish you lived closer so we could be a part of your lives. We hope you love these images as much as we do. So many congrats!
