Satterfield Maternity + Family

I don’t do a whole lot of maternity sessions…not because I don’t love them or know how to pose pregnant women, but moreso because we’ve defined our focus to weddings and if I do “everything” I’d be way over worked.  But every once in a while I will say yes to one…when it is for a friend or one of our wedding clients who is expecting.

This particular Saturday was super rainy and way overcast and I am not gonna lie and say I wasn’t nervous because it was 12 noon and pretty dark outside and we were inside. Yes, with huge windows, but still it was so dark.  Thank God for this spot in the gorgeous Cavalier Hotel with it’s huge windows wrapped all the way around!  Oh and (to be honest) a super simple prayer that God would work some magic, which He so did! You cannot even tell how dark the dark I was working with was because these photos are so amazing and such an example of some perfect light.  And wow never under-estimate the Canon Mark iii and really stellar lenses ….and sweet Jesus because He needs to be mentioned two times here for all His help! 😉

Tamara, the gorgeous pregnant lady, in these photos is my friend Dana’s (whom I adore :p) cousin.  She is not only that, but she’s also a super amazing and strong woman who is winning the fight with cancer as she carries little baby Teague.  I loved being able to be a part of her maternity session and meeting her super precious family!

Little baby Teague is gonna be delivered super (I guess I love the word super because I’ve used it twice in two sentences back to back …oh well!) early (just before Christmas) so momma Tamara can continue with her treatments and make sure he is doing all the succeeding.  So, if your reading this and you are a praying person, please think of this sweet family and be praying for them.  I know they would so appreciate it! <3

To this sweet family, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this moment.  It was so amazing to be a little part of your journey!! All the love and all the prayers! <3
