Nick + Kelsey Engagement A Yorktown Beach Engagement Session

An inquiry came in and I was surprised to see that my youngest cousin, Donnie, referred one of his best friends, Nick, to me!  I was honored to say the least. Kelsey and I chatted on the phone Memorial Day weekend and I could instantly tell these guys were a great fit.  It is so important to us that we fit well with our brides and grooms because we spend a lot of time together through the process of their wedding and these guys definitely passed the test!

I met them July 1st at the Yorktown Beach in Yorktown Virginia.  It was kinda a middle ground for the both of us.  The weather was so hot.  The kinda hot that you stand and drip, so we did our best to find the cooler spots which we were pretty successful at.   I absolutely adore Yorktown Beach.  It is so cute and I love the layout and the variety for photos in such a small proximity.  It was a perfect location for the engagement session.

Kelsey is such a natural beauty.  Actually, I had my phone around my daughter and one of Kelsey’s photos was up and my daughter, Juliet said “wow, she is so pretty!” I immediately texted Kelsey to tell her right away.  My daughter is pretty honest.  She’ll tell you the hard truth whether you want to hear it or not.  She may or may not have gotten that from me!

Nick is super sweet.  He carried my very heavy bag all around for me (he insisted)!  These two are such a perfect fit.

There session was easy and super fun and they were naturals at posing.  And afterwards I treated myself to ice cream at the ice cream shop there, which is always so packed.  I sat on the bench outside and enjoyed the night atmosphere, which was so perfect.
