Jordan, the groom, is one of Jake’s childhood friends, so it really was such a great honor to photograph his and Katelyn’s wedding this past Saturday. I know it was so special for Jake to reconnect with Jordan on his wedding day! Their day was nothing short of perfection. From the details, to the venue locations, to the weather and their bridal party, it was a dream!! We loved being a part of Jordan and Katelyn’s special day!
As I’m typing this, I’m thinking back on the whole day and I have to say that my favorite moment of the day was watching Katelyn’s beautiful big smile when she caught Jordan’s eye at the alter. You can see a few of those photos below. It was so sweet. I loved how Jordan kept completely calm amongst a few moments of chaos and how everyone enjoyed the dance floor despite that horrible heat. Thank God for those fans! Whew! 🙂 It really was a perfect day.
On the backend of the photography, I am so incredibly pleased with how well Jordan and Katelyn’s bride groom portraits turned out. For the first time in all our years of photography, we have never found it so difficult to make magic out of a “nothing” location. But we were able to! You cannot tell from their bride groom formals that their were streets full of cars on all corners, a huge play ground and strip malls to distract. But that is what magic is for and really great lenses too! 😉
These two have waited 7 years for their big day and it was finally here! Katelyn’s choice of black and white made the entire day feel so elegant. It was such an honor to be able to photograph Jake’s childhood friend’s wedding! What a gift to capture their most special day! We love our job and are so thankful we could be a part of this sweet couple’s day!
